Kim Hee Sun shares what makes “Alice” different from her previous projects!

Per Soompi, “Alice” is a sci-fi thriller about park Jin Gyeom (Joo Won), an emotionless detective who discovers time travel. He winds up crossing paths with a woman who resembles his dead mother named Yoon Tae Yi (Kim Hee Sun).

Kim Hee Sun in “Alice” plays both the loving mother Park Sun Young and the eccentric genius physicist Yoon Tae Yi.

When asked about the most memorable scene while filming the drama, Kim Hee Sun shared that her most unforgettable parts are the action scenes. Although she has held a knife before in her previous show, she continues that carrying a gun is her first time. “I practiced every scene with the martial arts team, and it was such a new experience for me.”

The actress shared a scene in “Alice” that required her bending backward to avoid an attack, which she encountered a lot of difficulties. Being impressed with what she has endured, she said that she wants to try another action movie next time.

Kim Hee Sun expressed that everything was exciting, starting from the synopsis. She revealed that she carefully analyzed the script because it was her first time doing the genre. She also watched many movies that seemed to have similarities to her new project, and people who will see her in the drama will start asking, “What’s this? Who is this person?”

Moreover, the actress described the time travel aspect as the main thing viewers should watch for. She said that there are many different periods in the show which is timelined from 1990 to 2050. Kim Hee Sun noted that viewers could see the future they imagined and how things looked past through the drama.

Kim Hee Sun reveals that it will be fun for the viewers to see how Tae Yi and Sun Young differ in their style, personalities, and tone as her character go back and forth between the characters in their 20s and 40s.

SBS’ “Alice” will be airing on August 28, at 10 PM, KST.
