It was announced late that Jimin provided a charitable donation to the students of the Province of South Jeolla (also called Jeonnam).

"Jimin contributed 100 million won (estimated $84,076) to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation," the Jeonnam Education Office reported on August 24. Jang Seok Woong has pledged to use the contribution to support students in their community. The Jeonnam Education Office will appoint Jimin as a donor to the growth of academic achievement in Jeonnam, to the Jeonnam Education Hall of Fame.

Jimin made contributions to his former school Busan High School of Arts and the Busan Metropolitan Education Office. Still, it's the first instance he made a significant contribution to the Province of South Jeolla.
