Attrakt, the Creator of 'FIFTY FIFTY', Partners with JTBC for New Girl Group Audition Show
Attrakt, the production company behind the group FIFTY FIFTY, will collaborate with JTBC to hold auditions for a new girl group.
According to sources on October 25, Jun Hong-jun, the head of Attrakt, will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with JTBC on the 26th to produce a girl group audition program. At this event, Attrakt's Jun Hong-jun and CMO Choi Seung-ho are expected to attend.
Last month, Attrakt announced its intention to launch a new girl group project aiming for a debut next year. All members of the new girl group will be selected through this audition program, and the entire process will be a public-facing project. The synergy between Attrakt and JTBC is highly anticipated.
Regarding the new girl group project, Head Jun Hong-jun said, "We have a duty to continuously produce new content for the investors who trust our company, for the hard-working staff in the field, and for the future of our company." He added, "We will move forward step by step, including the new girl group and various other projects."
Details of the audition schedule will be announced in stages by Attrakt.
Jun Hong-jun, the head of Attrakt, previously produced FIFTY FIFTY, which set a new record in K-pop girl groups with their song 'CUPID'. FIFTY FIFTY had achieved remarkable feats, including entering the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' and the UK Official Charts, and was dubbed the "miracle of a small to medium-sized idol group". Their achievements have earned Jun Hong-jun recognition. However, FIFTY FIFTY's activities are currently halted due to contractual disputes.
Jun Hong-jun is determined to create a completely new team through this new girl group audition. The project emphasizes the "Public's Pick" concept, aiming to build a fandom even before debut. Given that the public will have a direct hand in selecting the debut members, an unprecedented impact is expected from this new group.
There is growing interest in whether Attrakt can recreate the "miracle of the small to medium-sized idol group" through this audition project.
