Stellar Lineup Revealed for 'Tiny Desk Korea' Presented by LG Uplus Studio X+U
LG Uplus Studio X+U, producing 'Tiny Desk Korea', has unveiled an incredible roster of talent.
On August 11 (KST), 'Tiny Desk Korea' announced, "The Kim Chang-wan Band, Sunwoo Jung-a, BTS's V, Yoon Seok-chul Trio, and Kwon Jin-ah will perform live for fans on a small desk, showcasing their musical worlds."
The globally acclaimed 'Tiny Desk Concert', produced by America's NPR Music, has seen performances from pop stars like Adele and Justin Bieber, as well as Korean artists including BTS, Jay Park, and Zion.T.
Among them, BTS member V, who previously appeared on the original 'Tiny Desk Concert', has now been listed on the Korean version's lineup. Expectations are high for the solo artist V's unique rendition on 'Tiny Desk Korea'.
V is set to release his first solo album 'Layover' on September 8th. Ahead of the official album release, the music video for the track 'Love Me Again' was pre-released, captivating listeners.
The lineup also includes the legendary Kim Chang-wan Band, featuring the original multitalented Kim Chang-wan. Having recently headlined the '2023 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival', they've been capturing the hearts of the MZ generation, causing a 'Kim Chang-wan craze'. Expectations are building on what emotions the Kim Chang-wan Band will evoke this time around.
Further enhancing the lineup are singer and producer Sunwoo Jung-a, renowned for her musical prowess; the Yoon Seok-chul Trio, led by the versatile jazz pianist and producer Yoon Seok-chul; and the distinctive singer-songwriter Kwon Jin-ah.
'Tiny Desk Korea' is produced by LG Uplus, who secured the world's first official license for the 'Tiny Desk Concert'. The Korean edition will be set in a 'library' with a 'small desk', where artists and bands will present live performances, curated into mid-form content lasting 15 to 30 minutes each.
Starting with its premiere on August 25th, 'Tiny Desk Korea' will unveil 3-4 new episodes monthly. It can be viewed on LG Uplus's mobile content platform U+MobileTV and the official 'Tiny Desk Korea' YouTube channel.
