BTS member Jimin has become the first Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, drawing the attention of international media.

According to recent Billboard data, Jimin's "Like Crazy" topped the Hot 100 chart for the week of April 8. This is the first and only time a Korean solo artist has achieved this feat in the 65-year history of Billboard.

CNN reported, "BTS members have gone solo, but none have been as successful as Jimin," adding that he sold a combined total of 254,000 downloads and CD singles in the first week and recorded 10 million streams and 64,000 radio listeners.

The BBC highlighted Jimin's global fandom's influence on the success of "Like Crazy." AFP focused on the fact that his album "Face" reached No. 2 on the main album chart, marking his rise to the top of Korean solo musicians.

Cultural entertainment magazine Vulture praised Jimin, saying, "Jimin's No. 1 achievement in the world's largest music market may seem easy, but in reality, it's a huge and historic accomplishment."

Additionally, numerous global media outlets, including American Forbes, British The Guardian, and outlets from France, Germany, Japan, Brazil, Iran, Mexico, Turkey, and India, have reported on Jimin's ascent to the top of the Billboard main singles chart, heralding a new "Emperor of Pop."

Meanwhile, BTS' Jimin's solo album "Face" was released on February 24.
