ENHYPEN Confirms Official Debut Date With First Mini-Album ‘BORDER: DAY ONE’
A new mega rookie K-pop boy group is coming to town! The boy group confirmed its debut date which is in November with their first mini-album "BORDER: DAY ONE."
ENHYPEN is the first boy band created by media company BELIFT LAB a joint venture between Big Hit Entertainment and CJ ENM. They announced the news that ENHYPEN to debut this November 30, 2020, their album' BORDER: DAY ONE' through ENHYPEN's official global fan community platform Weverse.
The boy group boasts that they consist of multinational members that include Heeseung, Jake, Jay, Sunoo, Jungwon, Sunghooh, and Ni-ki. The formation of the boy group was through the survival show "I-LAND."
Their name's meaning was the same as the word "hyphen" that connects one story to another. So, ENHYPEN means the members will touch each other to discover and grow together.
The group already garnered a staggering number of followers and subscribers on their official social media accounts: Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, even before their group's debut. ENGENEs was their fandom name that comes from the English word "engine," which means the fans allowed them to keep going and grow.
The fandom name also used the word "gen," which means the fans and ENHYPEN share the same DNA to discover, connect, and grow together.
Their YouTube account reached one million subscribers and earned a gold YouTube play button. Also, Their WeVerse account reached three million followers.
The group previously piqued people's interest in their upcoming debut by the two trailer videos "Choose-Chosen" and "Dusk-Dawn" released. Their cinematic visuals and creative way of storytelling as they released concept mood boards drew attention from fans worldwide.
Through votes from the fans choosing the six members, the seventh member was the producer's choice. They were all chosen and determined on September 18, 2020.
ENHYPEN's debut album "BORDER: DAY ONE" will be available on all major streaming sites and offline music stores this November 30.
