ITZY's Comeback EP 'Not Shy' Breaks Personal Record
The South Korean all-girl group's, ITZY, third mini-album bottles up six tracks that will indeed find its way into the fans' hearts, including the title song 'Not Shy.' The said track was written by JYP Entertainment's Founder Park Jin Young.
Furthermore, the girl group's new concept is a modernized version of a western movie.
The quintet scored a fantastic feat by beating their initial records, proving their enormous growth. Undoubtedly, the group takes over domestic and international market music charts and breaking their first-week album sales.
The said track has recorded sold copies for 144,355 in its first week, based on the Hanteo Chart figures. The milestone is a new personal best for the group, doubling the initial record of 64,659 copies sold for their previous album entitled 'IT'Z ME.'
On August 7 at midnight, JYP Entertainment released a group teaser photo for ITZY's upcoming 3rd mini-album 'NOT SHY'. The title song and the teaser photo are in the movie poster style as all the members vibe off the western cowgirl look.
In February 2019, ITZY had achieved three consecutive hits, including "DALLA DALLA," "ICY," and "WANNABE" and made the fans look forward to their next album every time. The girls heated the comeback fever by unveiling the highlight medley on its official social media account at midnight last on August 16.
Led by JYP's Park Jin-young, many famous producers, including British production team London Noise, KENZIE, Isran, Lee Woo-min, and Kobee, participated in the new release. As a result, public expectations for the album have also been increased.
The title track "Not Shy" is a song that Park Jin-young himself wrote the lyrics of, and it expresses 'the feelings of racing toward love without caring about the ending.'
They will release the album and music video on several digital streaming sites and hold an event to communicate with fans in real-time on YouTube's 'MV PREMIERE.'
