YG's New Girl Group BabyMonster Drops Electrifying 'Batter Up' MV Teaser
YG Entertainment's new girl group BabyMonster has unveiled the music video teaser for their debut song "Batter Up" on November 24.
The 29-second video, starting with the powerful chant of "Attention!", immediately captivates with its intense and solid hip-hop rhythm from the get-go. The members' charismatic hip-hop swagger, expressions, and gestures, along with the serious look in their eyes and stylish movements, are captured in a visually appealing manner, hinting at the high quality of the upcoming music video.
The use of red and white colors in the production delivers a strong impact, while the snippet of the melody revealed at the end intensely captures the listener's ears. The minimalist yet heavy beat, intertwined with the sound of sirens, creates an intriguing tension. The lyrics "Batter batter batter up" at the end of the 18-second sound bite offer a deep addictiveness, heightening the anticipation for the song.
BabyMonster (members Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita) will officially debut with the digital single "Batter Up" at midnight on November 27. The hip-hop genre music, which promises to imprint their distinct presence, is eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide.
As YG Entertainment's first girl group in about 7 years since Blackpink, BabyMonster has already proven to be 'all-rounders', excelling in vocals, dance, rap, and visuals. This has raised high expectations. Indeed, their official YouTube channel has surpassed 3.23 million subscribers and 480 million cumulative views, showcasing their strong presence and popularity.
