BLACKPINK, Red Velvet, and (G)I-DLE top the August brand reputation rankings for girl groups, as revealed by The Korean Business Research Institute.

The brand reputation ranking was identified through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, coverage, and community indexes of various girl groups using July 8 to August 8’s big data collection.

The girl group who recently announced a collaboration with Western superstar Selena Gomez, BLACKPINK, tops for the second month in the brand reputation ranking. The quartet enjoys the brand reputation index of 9,922,928 for August. “4th Anniversary,” “YouTube,” and “How You Like That” are among the high-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis. While the group’s highest-ranking related terms included “surpass,” “record,” and “release.” BLACKPINK’s positivity-negativity review showed a score of 84.77 percent positive reactions.

Previously, BLACKPINK, who hailed first from rank three, got a total index of 11,638,631 for July. The group’s high-ranking phrases include “YouTube,” “Billboard,” and “hanbok” (Korean traditional clothing).

Rank four last month, Red Velvet rose to second place in the rankings. The girl group got the brand reputation of 5,597,781 for the month, which marked a 1.13 percent increase from their standing since July.

Lastly, (G)I-DLE grabbed the third place from being positioned 8th last month. They enjoyed a rise of 58.19 in their brand reputation from their index the previous month. (G)I-DLE scored a total brand reputation of 4,763,242 for August.
