BTS V Dominates Billboard: 'Love Me Again' and 'Rainy Days' Secure Top Spots
BTS V has illuminated his popularity as his tracks "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Days" clinched the 1st and 2nd positions respectively on the Billboard 'Hot Trending Chart'. The 'Hot Trending Chart' on Billboard serves as a global chart quickly highlighting globally trending music on social media platforms.
Billboard announced that from August 4th to 10th, V's "Love Me Again" held the top position on the 'Weekly Hot Trending Chart', followed by "Rainy Days" at the second spot. Both tracks were released on August 11th at 1 PM KST. However, the music video for "Love Me Again" premiered a day earlier, on August 10th, on YouTube. "Rainy Days" secured its second-place following the announcement of its music video and song release on the 11th.
Another track, "Slow Dancing", from V's solo album "Layover", managed to achieve the 7th spot, buoyed by its buzz as the title track of the album.
In a recent poll by Billboard titled "Favorite Newly Released Song of the Week", "Love Me Again" by V secured the top position, garnering an impressive 39,292 votes out of 44,483 total votes. Notably, "Love Me Again" managed to surpass international pop stars Olivia Rodrigo and Karol G's new releases, registering a remarkable vote percentage of 97.06%.
Moreover, as of August 15th, "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Days" have continuously ruled the global iTunes chart at 1st and 2nd positions for six days. Their overwhelming musical prowess was further demonstrated as the tracks also topped the US Amazon Bestseller list and Japan's Oricon Daily Digital Single Ranking Chart at the 1st and 2nd spots respectively.
On another note, V's solo album "Layover" is slated for release on September 8th.
