Monsta X Gets Nominated On VMAs 'Best K-Pop' Category
The South Korean sextet once again proved that they are on their brilliant way to the global music scene as the band sits in the nominee's list at the 'Best K-pop' category for the upcoming 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.
The MTV VMAs have announced the list of nominees for the 'Best K-pop' category through official social media websites, official websites, and various SNS channels. As expected, Monsta X's name appears under the 'Best K-pop' category nominees for their soulful and uplifting track called 'SOMEONE'S SOMEONE.'
Monsta X will be crossing swords with five other K-pop artists according to a previous report, including TOMORROW x Together, BTS, EXO, Red Velvet, and (G)I-DLE.
The MTV VMAs nominated track, 'SOMEONE'S SOMEONE,' is a reflective pop song that shows off the sextet's enlivening vocals as they harmonize in the song's beautifully made tune. The said track is a piece of the group's first full-length English album entitled 'All About Luv,' Hellokpop finds.
On the other hand, the music video rolled video films in the ever-famous Los Angeles locations glazing to capture the fans' attention to the unclouded and serene view.
The music video allowed the six lads to charm their fans as they donned stylish outfits, blending the ambiance's romantic colors. The background also never failed to add up to the artsy craft, showing off a romantic feel of a cold rainy evening.
According to Kpopstarz, the all-boy ensemble ventured out in releasing a full-length English album in February that shaped the band's success. The said album appeared in various renowned music media channels, including Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, and Variety.
'All About Luv' finishes at the fifth spot on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, along with other chart-topping records at the same charts.
Recently, Monsta X has released their 'Fantasia X' domestic album, followed by an online concert via LiveXLive on August 9.
