'Queendom' Dominates: (G)I-DLE Clinches 8th Win on 'Inkigayo', Stray Kids Return, Boy Next Door Makes Debut
South Korean pop group (G)I-DLE secured their 8th win with the song "Queendom" on SBS's popular music program 'Inkigayo', making them the reigning queens of the chart.
On the afternoon of the 4th, (G)I-DLE stood victorious as the first-place winners on 'Inkigayo'. The first-week candidates of June for the top spot were (G)I-DLE's "Queendom", aespa's "Spicy", and IVE's "I AM".
Upon receiving the first-place award, (G)I-DLE expressed their gratitude saying, "It's our last performance today, and we're so thankful to Neverland for awarding us the first place again. We'll work even harder and return quickly with a great song. We love you so much, Neverland. Thank you very much for your support until our last performance."
Meanwhile, the episode also witnessed the comeback stages of Stray Kids with "Special", Zhou Mi (feat. Eunhyuk) with "Manana (Our Drama)", AB6IX's "LOSER", CIX's "Save me, Kill me", and DKB's "Turning Point (Prod. MONSTA X Joohoney)".
The newly debuted group Boy Next Door presented their tracks "Going Crazy" and "One and Only", while Nine to Six entered the K-pop scene with "Don't Call Me".
The 'Inkigayo' lineup for the day featured performances from Nine to Six, DKB, Dreamcatcher, VERIVERY, Boy Next Door, Stray Kids, Secret Number, CIX, Amos, AB6IX, ENHYPEN, (G)I-DLE, Younha, Zhou Mi (feat. Eunhyuk), MONSTA X Joohoney, and KARD.
