BTS Jin's 'Super Tuna' Rules iTunes in 42 Countries, Highlighting Impressive Global Popularity
BTS's Jin has dazzled global music lovers with his track 'Super Tuna,' topping iTunes charts in 42 countries worldwide.
As of May 29 (Korea Standard Time), Jin's 'Super Tuna' climbed to number one on the iTunes chart in Ukraine. 'Super Tuna' is a self-composed track by Jin, expressing his sincere passion for fishing. Originally released as a preview on BTS's official YouTube and SoundCloud channels on his birthday, December 4, 2021, the official track was made available on all streaming platforms in October 2022.
Upon release, 'Super Tuna' immediately took the number one spot on iTunes in multiple countries, starting with Lithuania and continuing with Finland, Malaysia, Vietnam, Turkey, and Brazil, among others, reaching number one in 39 countries. The track recorded its 40th top spot in Guatemala on December 13, last year, followed by its 41st in Botswana on December 14. Its latest win in Ukraine marks its rise to number one in a total of 42 countries, further establishing Jin's robust music power.
In the said chart, 'Super Tuna' also reached number one on the iTunes 'Worldwide Chart,' number three on the 'Europe Chart,' and the top ten on the 'US Chart.'
'Super Tuna' is an irresistibly catchy song with an upbeat, buoyant atmosphere and simple choreography that everyone can follow. Jin's refreshing and cute expression, combined with his adorable dance routine, has captivated fans worldwide and sparked a global challenge phenomenon.
The 'Super Tuna Special Performance Video' released on the BTS YouTube channel 'BANGTANTV' broke records by surpassing ten million views within just a day of its release, climbing to the number one most viewed video worldwide and reinforcing Jin's substantial global popularity. As of the morning of May 30, the view count has exceeded 85.85 million and continues to grow rapidly.
In addition to 'Super Tuna,' Jin's solo tracks are creating a splash on various music charts, underlining his powerful brand presence. These stunning achievements are outshining even military service, solidifying Jin's influential status in the music industry.
