NewJeans Gearing Up For July Comeback: New Album in the Works
Girl group NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) is reportedly preparing for a comeback.
On the 23rd, a representative from their agency, Adore, told MyDaily, "NewJeans is currently preparing for the release of their new album. We will announce the exact schedule in due course."
Earlier that day, another media outlet reported that the group plans to release a pre-release track on July 7th and their new album later in the same month.
NewJeans had been active with the title track 'OMG' and the B-side track 'Ditto' from their single album 'OMG' which was released last January. If their July comeback is confirmed, it will be their first release in roughly six months since 'OMG'. Last month, they also released 'Zero', a commercial song for Coca-Cola.
NewJeans debuted last August with their debut album 'New Jeans' and quickly rose to popularity, solidifying their position as a leading girl group. They have consistently received love for their hit songs, including 'Attention', 'Hype Boy', 'Cookie', 'Hurt', 'OMG', and 'Ditto'.
