K-pop group (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua) has made a vibrant and assertive comeback.

On May 15 at 6 PM (KST), (G)I-DLE released their 6th mini-album 'I feel' through various domestic and international music platforms.

'I feel' is (G)I-DLE's latest musical endeavor seven months after their 5th mini-album 'I love', which was released in October last year. The pre-order volume for 'I feel' has doubled compared to their previous work (600,000 units), demonstrating the intense interest of music fans at home and abroad in (G)I-DLE's comeback.

The new album includes a total of six tracks, starting with the title track 'Queencard,' for which leader Soyeon participated in writing and composing. All members, centered around producer and leader Jeon Soyeon, took part in the songwriting and composing of all tracks, reconfirming their status as a 'self-producing group.'

The key theme permeating the 'I feel' album is self-esteem, which can vary based on personal thoughts and emotions. Ahead of the album's official release, (G)I-DLE explored conflicting emotions of resenting oneself for comparing to others while also wanting to love oneself in the pre-released track 'Allergy.'

Through the title track 'Queencard,' they evoke empathy by declaring that what's important is not one's appearance but accepting oneself as they are. Soyeon defines a real 'Queencard' through the lyrics, "My beauty never rests, from Monday to Sunday/From head to toe, I'm dazzling," "Any girl wearing anything, Queencard/Thin or chubby girl, Queencard/Confident girl, Queencard/I am a Queencard/You wanna be the Queencard." A real 'Queencard' is someone who accepts and cares for themselves as they feel, as they truly are.

At the 'I feel' production presentation held at the Chosun Palace Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul on the day of the album release, Soyeon, who took charge of writing and composing, explained the message she wanted to convey through 'Queencard.' She said, "I want to convey the message that 'I am a beautiful person because I find myself very beautiful.' I wish everyone would love themselves very much. And that looks pretty to others, too. I hope they feel that while listening to the song."

The 3rd track 'Lucid' is a song that portrays a sense of being awake in a hallucinatory imagination with a dreamy bass riff and organ sound. The 4th track 'All Night' is a song that tells a story about a night where you want to fully enjoy without focusing on the gaze of others, on top of a melody that highlights a slap bass riff and a distorted guitar sound.

The 5th track 'Paradise' is an electro-pop genre song based on a flashy synth track. The warm lyrics that comfort those who are tired of daily life captivate the ears. The last 6th track 'Young Adult' is a minimal track where an acoustic guitar riff and a groovy swing beat harmoniously blend. The confusing inner feelings of a twenty-something narrator experiencing the process of becoming an adult as defined by society are cleverly depicted in the lyrics.

The record-setting journey that (G)I-DLE will continue through the new album is another point of anticipation. With their previous work 'I love', (G)I-DLE entered the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' at 71st place. Not only did they achieve 11 wins on domestic music broadcasts, but they also topped the iTunes top album charts in 40 regions worldwide, proving their balanced popularity both domestically and internationally.

Now, with the release of 'I feel,' fans and music enthusiasts alike are eager to see what new records (G)I-DLE will set and how their unstoppable beauty will continue to shine in the music industry.
