EXO's Chen Drops New Single 'Before the Petals Fall' Today
EXO's Chen is set to release a new song.
At 6 p.m. on May 15 (KST), Chen's new song, 'Before the Petals Fall,' will be released as part of the 'In-between Project' through various music sites. This ballad song encapsulates the emotion of wanting to express one's feelings to a loved one before spring passes and the petals fall. It lyrically portrays the process of hesitating ahead of a confession and then plucking up the courage to make it.
The 'In-between Project' team stated, "Chen's 'Before the Petals Fall,' expressed with his unique charming voice and a melody that gives off the warm and fluttering vibe of spring, will bring joy to listeners with its fresh sentiment that anyone can relate to."
This track is the result of a collaboration between composer and music director Heo Seong Jin, who has worked on popular drama OSTs such as K.Will's 'Talk! What are you doing?' from 'Descendants of the Sun,' 'When the Camellia Blooms,' 'Curtain Call,' 'Come to the Witch's Restaurant,' 'Sacred Idol,' and more, and composer Lee Ki Hwan, who led the remake trend by rearranging Tae's 'Monologue,' Zia's 'I Don't Want to Love,' and Lee Seok Hoon's 'Fool to Fool.'
The 'In-between Project' portrays various emotional changes that two different individuals experience when they meet, fall in love, and go through a breakup.
The 'In-between Project' team explained, "Starting with Chen's 'Before the Petals Fall,' we plan to sequentially introduce high-quality tracks featuring the country's top vocalists."
