Aespa's 'Comeback' with 'My World' Surpasses 1.8 Million Pre-Orders, Breaking Their Own Record
The group Aespa has achieved a new career high with their third mini-album 'My World' (MY WORLD).
According to their agency, SM Entertainment, on the 8th, Aespa's third mini-album 'My World,' which was released today, has surpassed a total of 1.8 million pre-orders (as of May 8, KST). This surpasses the 1.61 million pre-orders for their previous second mini-album 'Girls,' setting a new personal record and signaling a 'back-to-back million-seller' even before their comeback.
The new release 'My World' features a total of six tracks of various genres, including the title track 'Spicy,' 'Welcome To MY World,' 'Salty & Sweet,' 'Thirsty,' 'I'm Unhappy,' and 'Til We Meet Again.'
The title track 'Spicy' is a dance song with a powerful synth bass sound and dynamic beats, and the lyrics capture the free-spirited charm of Aespa. SM Entertainment described it as a "song that showcases each member's unique vocal talents and a lively, young energy that stands out from the intense music they've presented so far."
The 'Spicy' music video features a stylish visual charm reminiscent of a high-teen movie and captures the story of Aespa's world where they experience 'strange phenomena' as they return from KWANGYA to the REAL WORLD.
Aespa will hold a live broadcast to celebrate their comeback, starting at 5 PM today on YouTube, TikTok Aespa channel, and IDOLPLUS. They will introduce the six tracks on the album, unbox the album, spoil their future plans, and communicate with fans through various segments.
Aespa's third mini-album 'My World' will be released at 6 PM today.
