SEVENTEEN Sweeps '4 Music Show Wins' with 'Super'
The group SEVENTEEN is sweeping music show trophies with their new song "Super."
On May 6th, SEVENTEEN's "Super," one of the double title tracks from their tenth mini-album "FML," took the top spot on MBC's "Show! Music Core" without even appearing on the show. With this win, SEVENTEEN achieved four music show crowns.
Through "FML," SEVENTEEN conveys a message of understanding and comfort for the struggles and confusion of youth, urging listeners to fight together and overcome difficult situations without succumbing to negative thoughts, maintaining a healthy and positive perspective.
"Super" is a song characterized by its repetitive, diverse kick rhythms in the style of alternative jersey club. Inspired by the upgraded Son Wu Kong who faces trials and setbacks, SEVENTEEN expresses their message of infinite growth and continuous career highs by comparing themselves to Son Wu Kong.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN became the only artist worldwide to surpass 3 million sales on the first day of their album release with "FML." With an initial sales record of 4,552,014 copies, "FML" set a new record for the highest initial sales for a K-pop group, proving their status as a powerhouse in the K-pop scene.
