SEVENTEEN Soars to #1 on 'M Countdown' with New Song 'Super'
K-pop group SEVENTEEN (members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) has claimed their second win on music shows with their new song "Super."
On May 4th, SEVENTEEN took home the 1st place trophy for "Super," one of the double title tracks from their 10th mini-album 'FML,' on Mnet's 'M Countdown.' They previously won 1st place on MBC M's 'Show! Champion.'
SEVENTEEN expressed their gratitude, saying, "We sincerely thank our CARATs. It's been 7 years since we debuted and won our first music show with 'Pretty U.' Thank you for giving us another win, and we'll work even harder in the future."
With 'FML,' SEVENTEEN encourages listeners to not dwell on negative thoughts in difficult situations, but rather to "fight together without giving up on oneself in despair." The album conveys a message of understanding and hope for the struggles and wanderings of youth from a healthy and positive perspective.
SEVENTEEN became the only artist worldwide to surpass 3 million sales on the first day of their album release with 'FML.' The album set a new record for the highest initial sales in K-pop history with 4,552,214 copies sold.
Since its release, "Super" has topped not only major domestic music sites but also iTunes 'Top Songs' charts in a total of 36 countries/regions, including Singapore, the Philippines, Brazil, and India.
