On May 2nd, Harper's Bazaar Singapore shared a stunning photo of Song Hye-kyo and Jennie on Instagram, introducing them as "Met Gala's official best friends." Representing Korean actresses, Song Hye-kyo, and K-pop's Jennie attended the American fashion charity event 'Met Gala' on May 1st, posing together in the beautiful picture.
The Met Gala, held annually in May, is the world's largest fashion charity event co-hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and Vogue, with celebrities from around the world in attendance. This year, Korea's stars Song Hye-kyo and BLACKPINK's Jennie lit up the event.
This year's Met Gala theme was 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,' honoring the late creative director of Chanel, who passed away in 2019. Song Hye-kyo, a global ambassador for luxury brand Fendi, donned a pink Fendi dress with a Hime-cut hairstyle and braided hair as accents. Jennie, known as 'Human Chanel,' captivated attention in a Chanel white mini dress adorned with white roses.
This year's Met Gala saw the attendance of Korean stars Song Hye-kyo and BLACKPINK's Jennie, alongside other celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Cardi B, Jessica Chastain, Billie Eilish, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bundchen, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, and Jennifer Lopez.
