Broadcaster and lawyer Seo Dong-joo, the daughter of the late comedian Seo Se-won, has arrived in Cambodia.

An associate of Seo Dong-ju told eDaily in a phone call on April 22 (KST), "Seo Dong-joo headed to Cambodia after receiving the news of her father's passing." They added, "Seo Dong-joo is discussing funeral arrangements with other family members in the area."

It was previously reported that Seo Se-won passed away on the 20th while receiving an IV at a Korean hospital in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Seo Se-won was known to have suffered from diabetes.

After divorcing Seo Dong-joo's mother, broadcaster Seo Jung-hee, Seo Se-won remarried with a traditional Korean musician, Kim. He had been living in Cambodia with his second wife since 2020. Currently, friends in Cambodia have prepared a funeral hall for the deceased at a temple in downtown Phnom Penh.
