'M! Countdown': BLACKPINK's Jisoo Takes Top Spot as Solo Artist; IVE Performs as Quintet without Lei
BLACKPINK's Jisoo has claimed the number one spot with her solo comeback on Mnet's "M! Countdown" broadcast on April 13 (KST).
Jisoo's new song "Flower" and BTS's Jimin's "Like Crazy" were both contenders for the top spot in the second week of April. Ultimately, Jisoo emerged as the winner.
IVE made their first music show appearance after their comeback, unveiling their new album "I've IVE" for the first time on television. Member Lei, however, was absent due to health issues, and the group performed as a quintet.
Girl group Kep1er showcased a flawless performance with their energetic and lovely charm. Their mini 4th album "LOVRSTRUCK!", released on April 10th, featured the title track "Giddy" and the B-side "Back to the City." The group captivated fans with their addictive "cat dance" choreography.
Solo artists like Park Ji-hoon and Lee Chae-yeon also delivered memorable performances. Park Ji-hoon made his comeback after six months, performing his new song "Blank Effect." Lee Chae-yeon presented her new track "KNOCK" on 'M! Countdown' as well.
Ye-eun, who released her first solo album after eight years in the industry, took the stage with her title track "Cherry Coke," a song filled with excitement and sweetness.
Trainees who won the benefit of appearing on "M! Countdown" in the 3rd mission artist battle of Mnet's "Boys Planet" also graced the stage. The winning "Over Me" team (Jang Hao, Jay, Ricky, Cheon Kwan Lui, and Lee Jung-hyun) showcased their performance once again.
In addition to IVE and Kep1er, artists such as Park Ji-hoon, Lee Chae-yeon, Kim Woo-seok, Billlie, and BOYSPLANET made appearances on "M! Countdown."
