MONSTA X Surpasses 100 Million Streams On Spotify For 'All About Luv' Album
Monsta X’s Luv is in the air!
South Korean all-boy ensemble, Monsta X, has once again proved that they are one true K-pop kings. Fresh from their chart-topping ‘Fantasia X’ album release, Monsta X smashes the 100 million streams on Spotify. And this time, it is for their uplifting album entitled ‘All About Luv.’
In a Hellokpop report, ‘All About Luv’ is the group’s full-length English album, which was dropped on Valentines’ Day of this year. In addition, it is also Monsta X’s first released album to achieve a meaningful milestone on Spotify.
Per Billboard, Monsta X’s ‘All About Luv’ album consists of eleven tracks with five of it that topped the Spotify records namely, ‘You Can’t Hold My Heart’ with 6,973,126 streams, ‘Love U’ with 9,968,156 streams, ‘Middle Of The Night’ with 14,395,946 streams, Someone’s Someone with 16,575,200 streams, and ‘Who Do U Love’ that features American-Moroccan rapper French Montana with 35,996,945 streams.
‘All About Luv’ earned the praises of Monbebe across the globe as it dominated various airplay charts around the world since it was released namely in Brazil, Belarus, Chile, Brunei, India, Finland, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lithuania, Russia, Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Furthermore, the said album skyrocketed its way to the 5th spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 two weeks after its release. The collection is also listed on Billboard’s 50 Best Albums of 2020 master list, so far.
The album speaks for its title as the songs sing the message of love and the beauty of being love. Also, the collection has songs that revolve around the agitating heartaches one experiences when they are in love.
‘All About Luv’ tags along in the thumping electro-pop, soul, and funk beats that showcases Monsta X’s versatility as artists. The album also graces the talents of all-stars guests, including French Montana, Pitbull, Will.I.Am, and Steve Aoki.
