Lee Hi Inspires Her Fans Through Her 'HOLO' Digital Single: Stream
AOMG’s new artist, Lee Hi, released an heartfelt and motivating song that tackles about self-love. Lee Hi’s comeback debut marks her first record with new management and label, AOMG Official, founded by Jay Park. The 23-year-old idol’s comeback comes after a year of hiatus.
Lee Hi previously made known her comeback debut on July 12 by releasing a dazzling and sophisticating teaser photo. The young singer posted the photo on her personal Instagram account with a caption that days, “D-10.”
Since then, Lee Hi has continuously been releasing her upcoming comeback’s teaser photos one by one that showcase her angelic and soft side as an artist. With the pictures, the fans were rapid to conclude that their idol’s single will be titled ‘HOLO.’ And indeed, their guess was right!
After a week of hints, the K-pop idol shared an art teaser of ‘HOLO’ on her Instagram account. She captures the track’s art and craft that tags along in a piece of emotional piano music.
Between July 20 to July 22, Lee Hi released three separate music video teasers for ‘HOLO.’ Per Hellokpop, the music video teasers made Lee Hi’s fans embrace her new venture in a different management.
‘HOLO’ is a Korean word for “alone,” a song that sings off loneliness and melancholia. “It’s okay to be yourself,” part of the song sings, about the encouraging thought of accepting oneself wholeheartedly.
According to Hallyu Life, ‘HOLO’ is a track that encourages comfort that all trials and sadness will come to an end, freeing the chained-self. On the other hand, the music video plays a story of immense pain and discord that is being restored by independence and joy.
‘HOLO’s’ lyricist is The Barbarettes, who is also responsible for Lee Hi’s 2016 ‘Hold My Hand’ track.
