Immensely prestigious magazine Forbes recently published an article that named Jin, a member of the mega K-pop band BTS, as the most successful male artist from his field.

The article talked about Jin becoming the first male K-pop idol to simultaneously have two songs, namely "Super Tuna" and "Yours" on the Billboard Hot Trending Songs. It furthermore said that Jin showed the world how much he is loved by his fans, with a rare and unexpected chart in America. Moreover, he was back with another win to his name to become the most successful male artist from his field.

Jin's 'Yours' is one of the longest trending K-pop acts on the chart, and "Super Tuna," is spending its second week in the chart. According to Forbes, though two appearances may not sound like much, it breaks Jin out of a tie with many others. With just a pair of hits to Jin's credit, he now stands out as the solo male K-pop artist with the most smashes. Four others, including fellow BTS member Jungkook, as well as MJ, Mark Tuan, and Kai, have also been part of this club once.

The Forbes article states that "Super Tuna", which was released by the BTS vocalist as a gift to fans on his birthday, is not being pushed as a proper single, though it was shared to a few platforms such as YouTube and SoundCloud.

Forbes has underlined what an impact Jin's first steps as a solo artist have made in both the Korean music industry as well as the global industry as an Asian artist. Both his songs, which are making waves, are in Korean and haven't been promoted as singles. Despite that, he was able to break the boundaries with his versatile artistry and talent, achieving success in Asia, the West, and in fact worldwide.

Jin, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, was walking down the street when he was selected by Big Hit Entertainment for his looks. At that point, Jin had no music background and was studying acting. He went on to audition for Big Hit as an actor before going on to become an idol trainee. On June 13, 2013, he made his debut as one of the four singers in BTS with "2 Cool 4 Skool", the band's debut single album.

Meanwhile, at present, all the seven members of BTS are enjoying an extended break with family, though continuing to be very active on their respective, newly-opened Instagram accounts.
