Hwang In Yeop may be returning to the small screen soon as he was said to have been approached to star in a drama opposite Seo Hyun Jin. It will be a romance drama that will air on SBS and was said to have been titled Why Oh Soo Jae?

According to Sports Chosun, the 30-year-old actor was chosen to be the male lead of the said drama. However, it was clarified by Key East Entertainment, Hwang In Yeop's agency, that nothing had been confirmed yet at this point, but it is true that its artist received an offer and is currently looking over the script.

Why Oh Soo Jae? is a romance series that unveils the story of Oh Soo Jae, a woman who often makes wrong decisions in life. But her life changed when she met a young man who helped her change her life's direction. She also learned how to love herself after meeting him.

Overall, it is a love story that presents the painful but exciting side of life. The flow may come out cold, but it will radiate warmth, and viewers will be able to relate.

In any case, Star Today reported that Seo Hyun Jin was confirmed earlier to be the female lead and will be Oh Soo Jae in the drama. The production team is still on the hunt for her male counterpart, but as mentioned before, Hwang In Yeop was offered the role already.

If he accepts and joins the drama, he will be playing Gong Chan, a college freshman at Seojoong University's law school. He also runs a bar on the side.

He served some time in jail after being accused of a crime he did not commit. At that time, he already met Oh Soo Jae, and they met again after he was freed and returned to law school. She turned out to be a substitute professor in the university, which is how their story will unfold.

It was reported that the Gong Chan role was previously offered to Kim Young Dae, but the deal did not push through due to conflicts in schedules. Although he may not be the original choice, grabbing the opportunity would be a good move for Hwang In Yeop.

Why Oh Soo Jae? will be directed by Park Soo Jin, who also helmed Dr. Romantic and While You Were Sleeping. The story was written by Kim Ji Eun, and the drama is expected to air in early 2022.
