Big Hit Entertainment and Universal Music Group make a partnership as they plan to launch a new international boy group!

On February 18, Thursday, Big Hit Entertainment and Universal Music Group joined forces to launch a new global boy group and recently made a joint announcement to discuss their strategic partnership. The two giants have started sharing the same vision as they started making VenewLive a streaming platform that Big Hit uses for virtual concerts a global platform for everyone to access.

In the video, both the Big Hit Entertainment and Universal Music Group CEOs Bang Si Hyuk, Lucian Grainge, and Lenzo Yoon have announced that they will be launching a 'global artist debut project' commenced through an audition program. Lenzo Yoon stated that the companies would be debuting a new boy group whose activities will focus mainly on international activities, and the global audition will be aired live with a U.S. media partner next year.

Moreover, Big Hit Entertainment will be in charge of extensively training the potential members, while the Universal Music Group will be executing the audition program in partnership with American media partners.

"In this project, Big Hit Entertainment will be in charge of discovering and training artists, fan content production, and communication with fans through Weverse. Making use of their powerful local network, Universal Music Group will be in charge of music production, global distribution, and producing the audition program with U.S. media partners." - Lenzo Yoon

Fans are excited to a potential boy group with diverse nationalities and cultures to promote music that can potentially bring people as one and incorporate the message of hope to the world, especially during this difficult time when people face the same health crisis. Netizens believe this is one of the best projects ever launched by the two companies, aside from the progress they made from VenewLive.
