The Kpop's increasingly well-known underdog, Dreamcatcher, has just made history as it landed on a famous chart in the United States, particularly on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart!

The fans of Dreamcatcher are recently celebrating as their favorite girl group becomes the first K-Pop girl group to land their name on #1 on Billboard's Next Big Sound Chart.

As divulged by the chart's site, Billboard's Next Big Sound chart provides a dashboard, reports, and charts that show the popularity and activity and metrics for musicians and albums during the past week of all major social music sites. The chart presents the artists statistically predicted to attain future success rather than evaluating their real popularity.

The Group's Massive Popularity Overseas

Opposite to its standing in Korea, Dream Catcher is a girl group that is more recognized overseas. They are among the girl groups to have a large following international fanbase.

Billboard released the chart ranking for the week of February 13 on February 10, in which the girl group placed number 1.

The Group Has Been Nailing Since Day One

Dreamcatcher, initially called MINX, has been charting on Billboard charts since they debuted under Happy Entertainment in January 2017. The first extended play of the septet Prequel, released in July of the same year, ranked No. 5 on the Billboard World Albums. 

Moreover, in January 2018, their first anniversary digital single of Full Moon ranked No. 16 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. And four months after, on the Billboard World Albums chart, Dreamcatcher landed at No. 7 with Escape the ERA.

Meanwhile, on January 26, the seven-piece band recently made a comeback with the release of its sixth EP "Dystopia: Road to Utopia. The said new album contains seven songs, including the lead single Odd Eye and its instrumental version.
