AOA's Seolhyun Back On Instagram Six Months After Bullying Controversy, Netizens Are Not Pleased
AOA's Seolhyun is now back to Instagram for the first time after six months. But even after the long break, netizens are still pouring out their hates and criticisms towards the idol-actress.
The Root Of Criticisms
In July last year, the former AOA member Kwon Mina came out with some severe bullying accusations against another former AOA member, Jimin. Since that moment, many netizens have criticized Seolhyun for not addressing the issue. And also for continuing with her promotions as if nothing were going on.
This somehow met with many backlashes, and it led to netizens asking for her removal from the drama, which subsequently did not happen.
Back To Instagram Activities
Seolhyun posted photos and clips on January 20 taken on the set for Awaken and left a lengthy message.
The actress revealed that Awaken was meaningful to her in many ways. "I wonder how I would have spent this time without this work," she shared.
The actress continued saying that she wants to tell Hye Won that she worked hard. When everyone suspected Do Jung Woo was the culprit, only Hye Won believed in him, and it took a long time until she was proven to be true. Maybe some won't understand Hye Won's action. I wanted to show how proud I am of Hye Won's trust. And I will support Hye Won until the end, the actress added.
Furthermore, Taeyeon commented welcome as she expressed her joy at Seolhyun's return.
The Netizens Are Not Ready To Buy The Comeback
Meanwhile, the return of Seolhyun on social media is not warmly accepted by the netizens. Although there is also a handful, who cheered her, saying, "You did a great job" or "You did well, Gong Hye Won," other netizens still poured out their criticisms.
The disappointed fans shared, "You kept your mouth shut about Mina's case" and "You didn't even apologize, but time has passed, and now you're back."
