MONSTA X's Shownu and Minhyuk Receive Praises, Gets Featured By Forbes Magazine
Forbes has featured Shownu and Minhyuk, members of the K-pop group MONSTA X, for their first OST launch since their debut.
A column entitled "Monsta X continue to expand 2020 Music Activities With Shownu & Minhyuk's Duet" was released on its platform and official SNS on September 14 by Forbes, a respected U.S. business publication. This attracted local and foreign supporters' attention and interest.
"MONSTA X has been active in multiple international activities up to 2020, including Korean, English, and Japanese albums, soundtracks, and OSTs," Forbes stated. "And now, by launching new duet OST tracks, two top singers in the band are widening their musical range as K-POP boy artists," continued Senior Contributor Jeff Benjamin, mentioning the duet involving Shownu and Minhyuk. The two prominent K-pop artists joined forces for an Original Sound Track (OST) as part of the ongoing webtoon based drama called, "She's My Type."
The single "Have a Goodnight," also is a soothing, classic R&B-like good night-song-style music that gives a peek of the two vocals' appealing voices. Moreover, Minhyuk's vocals were merged, particularly in the second verse's bridge section, to showcase each member's music's complexity and the broad range of vocal ability.
As per Forbes, this is accompanied by a good mix of high and low-pitched tones. But on the other side, through the first full-length release, "ALL ABOUT LUV," introduced worldwide this year, MONSTA X, which involves Minhyuk and Shownu, produced outstanding quality.
It was ranked fifth on the Billboard 200 chart, 7th on the Rolling Stone "Top 200 Albums" and 1st on the "Top Disney Tracks" graph on Radio Disney, and has seen success in the worldwide music industry.
In the meantime, MONSTA X (Shownu. Minhyuk). Oh, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, I.M. Prepare for an upcoming album to be released this fall. Minhyuk is presently the "Inkigayo" SBS MC.
