Actor and singer Lee Seung-gi and actress Lee Da-in, a newlywed couple, have kept their promise to "live a life of giving back." They have donated over 100 million won (approximately $84,000) in wedding gifts to charity for their first good deed after marriage.

On the 24th, according to an OSEN report, Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in donated 110 million won (approximately $92,000) to the Korean Red Cross. Of this amount, 100 million won was given to support warm-hearted parenting for parents in need, and 10 million won was allocated to help neighbors affected by wildfires in Gangneung.

Previously, Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in got married on the 7th and shared their determination to live a life of giving back. In less than a month since their wedding, the couple has warmed hearts by sharing their donation news.

Both Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in have been active in charitable giving throughout their careers. In 2018, Lee Da-in participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge, donating 1 million won without nominating others, saying, "I hope my participation will be of great help and support to all patients and families suffering from ALS."

Lee Seung-gi is a 'charity angel' who has consistently donated throughout his career. In January, he donated 550 million won (approximately $461,000) to the Korean Red Cross on his birthday, saying, "I wanted to provide real help in disaster situations." In February, he donated 300 million won (approximately $252,000) to a science and technology development fund.

Last year, Lee Seung-gi donated 2 billion won (approximately $1.68 million) to Seoul National University Children's Hospital. At that time, he said, "I hope my donation will be of small help to neighbors suffering from disasters and illnesses. I learned that there are many people working hard to ensure that donations go where they are needed. I express my respect to them. My role in donating may end, but my interest in helping those in need should not."

In January of the same year, Lee Seung-gi donated 100 million won to support pediatric and adolescent patients receiving treatment at Severance Rehabilitation Hospital. In 2019, he donated another 100 million won to the hospital's disabled support association for medical rehabilitation. The donations were used to provide wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, and posture support devices to 23 pediatric and adolescent spinal cord injury patients.

Lee Seung-gi has been consistently involved in volunteer activities since 2009, including donating 100 million won to families who appeared on KBS 1TV's 'Field Report Companion.'

Besides these donations, Lee Seung-gi has been a leading 'charity star' in South Korea, supporting various causes such as donating 100 million won to the KBS Kang Tae-won Welfare Foundation, supporting educational activities for low-income female students in the United States, sharing kimchi and coal briquettes, and assisting nursing homes and childcare centers.

After getting married, Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in donated over 100 million won in wedding gifts, sharing their warm hearts. The couple's future endeavors to support those in need are highly anticipated.
