ENHYPEN landed on Billboard 200 this week and secured the no. 18 spot. This is the first time that the group made it to the list in the said chart and ultimately became the second-highest record for a Kpop artist this year, following BTS' BE that ranked no. 7 in March.

This a big achievement for ENHYPEN since it is still a rookie that debuted just seven months ago. The group won a place in Billboard 200 with its second mini-album Border: Carnival that was released on April 26.

As per Yonhap News Agency, the boy group, consisting of seven members that include Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki, is the only team that debuted in 2020 to appear on the prestigious American music chart. The Border: Carnival is a six-track mini-album that also topped Japan's Oricon monthly album chart in April.

It features Drunk-Dazed as the main track, and it was on the Billboard Global Exclusive US chart earlier this month, ranking at no. 166. In any case, the album also hit no. 9 on the World Albums chart and no. 3 on the World Digital Song Sales.

ENHYPEN debuted in November 2020 through the global audition program, Mnet's I-Land, that was co-produced by Hybe Label and CJ ENM. As the show airs globally and has many foreign candidates, the group was able to gather a huge fan base from around the world even before it officially debuts.

"Considering how 'BE' was released last year, Enhypen's album can be considered the best-performing K-pop album released this year," Korea Joongang Daily quoted Belift Lab, the joint venture company of Hybe and CJ ENM, as saying regarding the group's Billboard record.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN's Border: Carnival sold more than 520,000 copies in April and topped both Hanteo and Gaon's album sales chart.
